Types of Eating Disorders
Anorexia is an obsessive fear of gaining weight, refusal to maintain a healthy body weight and an unrealistic perception of body image.
Bulimia is repeated binge eating followed by behaviors that compensate for the overeating, such as vomiting or excessive exercise.
Binge eating is a frequent loss of control over eating. These episodes are not followed by compensatory behaviors.
