Brandon Christensen, LSW

Executive Director

The heart of Modern Therapy is all about making life better for everyone we have the privilege to connect with. We know firsthand the challenges life can bring, and we’re committed to walking alongside our clients to help them navigate those struggles and ultimately improve their lives. We’re especially motivated by the ripple effect that positive change in one person’s life can have on their entire community. This vision is what led us to create Modern Therapy, and it continues to inspire us as we grow year after year.

Business approach

What drives your business decisions at Modern Therapy?

Every decision we make is guided by how it will impact both our clients and our team. Every member of Modern Therapy has a set of “gut check” questions based on our core values, which we use to stay aligned with the company we set out to be. These questions help ensure that each choice we make reflects our commitment to integrity, care, and quality.

Personal Touch + Personality

What are some hobbies you have in your free time?

I love playing pickleball! I also enjoy buying, selling, trading, and collecting watches.

WORKING WITH CLIENTS

Can you share a general example of how a client might grow during their time with Modern Therapy?

Some of our most powerful success stories come from couples in counseling. We’ve had couples come to us on the brink of separation, and with the help of our counselors, they’ve learned to improve communication, reset expectations, and heal together. Many of them have been able to realign and save their marriages through this process.

Therapy Philosophy

What do you find most fulfilling about your work at Modern Therapy?

I find it incredibly fulfilling to read the Google reviews our clients leave for us. Seeing the positive impact our team has on clients’ lives every day is deeply rewarding.

Final Thoughts + Encouragement

What would you say to someone hesitant about starting therapy with Modern Therapy?

You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. If you’re considering counseling but are feeling hesitant, try asking yourself two questions: “What’s the worst that could happen if I give therapy a try?” and “How could my life improve if it works?” With honest answers, I hope you’ll decide to reach out! Modern Therapy is approachable, supportive, and easy to work with—we’re here to make the process as comfortable as possible.
