Jessica Vlossak, LPC

Jessica is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Rutgers University and a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. With over 8 years of experience in the mental health field, she has accumulated skills suited for working with a wide variety of clients, but specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, eating disorders, and substance use. 

Her work experience was garnered in a variety of settings, which started at a Neurobehavioral Rehab Center and the ARC of Monmouth County where she worked with those who live with developmental disorders. Jessica also spent several years working in the intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs offered at Riverview Medical Center and GenPsych. She has provided crisis intervention services at Preferred Behavioral Health and has experience working with youth and families in their home setting. Through these experiences, Jessica has gained extensive knowledge and skills in working with children and teenagers, families, and adults who experience mild to severe mental health challenges. 

Jessica’s clinical approach pulls from a range of evidence based modalities based on the client's needs. She has completed formal foundational training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and is certified by the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals to work with clients who live with eating disorders. She also has extensive experience using motivational interviewing, substance use counseling, and has training in the Nurtured Heart Approach, which includes mental health related strategies applicable to parenting and educating children at any life stage.
