My style in sessions is conversational and goal-oriented. I believe one of the benefits of therapy is being able to connect on a human level. I enjoy using empathy, compassionate humor, and some sass to aid clients in reaching their goals.

That there is no 'right' time and no 'right' answers! It can be intimidating to come into sessions, especially intakes, and it is important to remember that your therapist is here to help however they can. You can start therapy at any point in life.
I am an extrovert who loves to go to the beach, hang out with friends, and is always ready for a new adventure. One of my favorite things is to take weekend trips to visit friends who are in different locations and get to tour their cities!
One of the things I prioritize in first sessions with clients is what their goals are for treatment. It is important to me that every client recognizes that treatment is theirs and it is their plan, I am simply here to help! Setting goals in initial sessions allows for conversational sessions moving forward that still focus on goal achievement.
What I find most rewarding about my work as a therapist is getting to witness people achieving their goals and living their best life- whatever that looks like for them!
One of the biggest ways I prioritize my own mental health is by doing regular self-care and recognizing when I need to take time off. I'm a firm believer in preventative time off to avoid burnout, which has helped me continue to show up fully for my clients. I typically have a few days scheduled throughout the year to ensure I am providing the best care I possibly can for my clients.
Even if we were not a fit, I hope clients remember that they deserve to have good services and deserve to have space - in therapy and in life- to achieve their goals.
