Therapeutic Style + Approach

What three words best capture your therapeutic style?

Three words to best capture my therapeutic style are warm, empathetic, and down-to-earth.

Personal Touch + Personality

How would you describe yourself outside of your role as a therapist?

Outside of therapy, I would describe myself as someone with a good sense of humor who is thoughtful and caring. I am a wife, mother, sister, friend, and animal lover! In my downtime, you can find me taking a walk with my husband and daughter, around the lake by our home. I do my best to slow down, stay mindful, and appreciate nature’s beauty.

WORKING WITH CLIENTS

How do you tailor your methods to meet the unique needs of each client?

Before tailoring my therapeutic approach, I take time to really get to know my clients and build our therapeutic relationship. No two clients are the same, so I draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques and adapt them to what resonates with each person.

Therapy Philosophy

What do you find most rewarding about your work as a therapist?

It is an honor to have people open themselves up and invite me to come along on their mental health journey. I find it rewarding to watch a person gain insight, grow, and become empowered to make positive changes in their life.

Personal Well-Being +  Self-Care

How do you prioritize your own mental health and well-being?

I practice what I preach when it comes to mental health. I make sure to take time for self-care, including getting enough sleep and eating balanced meals. I also prioritize time with family, friends, and taking part in activities that bring me joy. Taking care of myself ensures that I can be fully present and hold the space that my clients deserve.

Final Thoughts + Encouragement

If a client could only remember one thing after a session with you, what would you hope it would be?

My goal is for clients to walk away feeling validated and hopeful for the future. There is a path toward feeling better, and you don’t have to get there alone.
